      <image:title>Parenting</image:title>
<image:caption>You are the most important person in your child’s life – you are their favorite toy. It is my hope that when you enter the doors to my office, you will feel understood and not judged. That a trusting relationship will develop where you can truly let go and breathe. I offer a collaborative approach, so you will be fully aware of what I am working on with your child at all times. I will also have you practice these new skills at home with your child, so there will be consistency between therapy and on the home front. Occasionally, I may have you join a session to determine if there are things that need to be addressed between parent and child. Ultimately, my hope for you is to gain insight and awareness as we collaborate, and begin to see solutions in areas where you used to feel stuck. By guiding you to realize your own strength as a parent, my wish is for you to feel empowered and confident in your own parenting skills.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Child Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>The majority of my training was spent learning how to meet the unique developmental and therapeutic needs of children. I believe each child comes in layers and at the core of the heart is where the hurt and pain struggle lies. While working with children I provide a nurturing environment for them to feel safe and heard. My job is to evaluate and gain an understanding of where the problem lies and come up with creative ways to explore options that they may feel comfortable trying out. I never push a child, but rather I work at their own pace. When and if they are ready, we explore what might work best for their situation. It is a process, much like a child taking their first steps. When they have conquered their first step, they feel empowered and feel like they can tackle the next obstacle. I often use role play, play therapy, art therapy, mind-fulness, and exploring the child’s thought process.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Faith Based Counseling</image:title>
<image:caption>For those of you seeking to obtain Counseling from a Christian Therapist, I gladly offer it. I understand that faith plays an important part in searching for the right therapist, especially one who shares the same beliefs. If you would prefer to have your therapy sessions centered around the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we can discuss what that might look like for you personally. I have been trained specifically in integrating psychology and Christianity. As a Christian, my values and work are informed by my faith. I strongly depend on the Holy Spirit and my personal time with the Lord to guide me into wisdom and truth. What does this look like in my line of work with kids? Having worked with kiddos in Christian settings, I have seen first-hand that we are dealing with issues related to the heart. Often times the behavior and attitude children express lies with what is going on deep down in their hearts. When we meet the core of the heart, we begin to see where the problem lies rather than focusing solely on the behavior itself. I never turn anyone away due to beliefs that do not align with mine, nor do I impose my beliefs onto you. You do not have to be Christian in order to participate in Faith-Based Counseling.</image:caption>
